Dear Parent
Thank you for your interest in classes. I am delighted to introduce you to
The Lucy Griffiths Dance
& Theatre Academy.
The
Academy offers classes in Orpington, Green Street Green & Chislehurst.
Lessons are held in I.S.T.D. Ballet, Tap, Modern Theatre, Jazz Dance and
the Academy also provides Theatre Performance Company classes including Acting
and Singing. Classes are available for children of 2˝ years to Adult.
The Academy combines experienced and varied, quality teaching with a caring,
encouraging approach. We remember
that children enjoy dancing and performing for fun and fitness. Our classes
whether taken up by children purely as a hobby or to fulfil their aspirations to
pursue a professional dance career, will provide your child with an opportunity
to build confidence and gain vital social skills.
All pupils including our pre-school children are invited to perform in a
Bi-annual show held at local theatres. Our children continue to perform in a
range of local events including; Summer fetes & festivals, where we have
earned a reputation for the high standard of our displays.
There are also
opportunities for children to perform in numerous amateur productions in local
venues & theatres.
We also enjoy yearly success in professional pantomime at Theatres in Sevenoaks,
Maidstone & Chatham. We have also had achievements with the Royal Ballet,
Kent Youth Ballet and the English Youth Ballet. Our Theatre Performance Company
& Jazz pupils have also danced with the Young Performers at Her Majesty’s
Theatre in The Haymarket, London. Many of our older students have successfully
taken up places in full time student courses to pursue a career within the Arts.
After reading the enclosed information pack, if you would like to secure a place

‘In House’ Agency –
Lucky Stars Kids Agency.
For those who are
interested in performing professionally, whether in West End Productions or
other Film & Television opportunities, we offer the services of `Lucky Stars
Kids Agency’.
We are able to arrange
for members of the agency to attend castings. We have extensive contacts within
the theatrical industry. The agency is able to put forward members for
auditions, and these decisions are made based upon the specific requirements of
the role and the member’s suitability to the part. This means a range of
factors are taken into consideration; their age, height, appearance and
dancing/singing or acting skills.
It is strongly recommended that agency members attend Theatre Performance
Company Classes as well as syllabus classes at the Academy, as most auditions
are theatre based and attendance at these classes is highly likely to improve
the chances of a successful audition.
If you are interested in
becoming a member of the Agency please fill in and return the Agency Application
Form enclosed in this information pack.
Kind Regards
Lucy
Griffiths.
